Very good idea. Depending on how much taxes you&#039;re paying it may be worth it to get an appraiser and challenge the assessment. An appraisal can cost anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on the area and size etc. So, if this cost can pay for itself AND give you some savings, then certainly worth a shot.
