Home mortgage rates have come down from summer highs. Rates appear to be on a downward trend beginning in late June. Don’t hold your breath though. I anticipate rates to bottom out around the 6.125% to 6.375% range for the remainder of the year. The average points paid for the corresponding interest rate remains within the narrow 0.3% to 0.5% band.
